The tradition
More than thirty years
The Columbus Day Tournament has closed the Stamford Italian Soccer League season for more than three decades. The regular season runs on Sundays from mid-August, and the Finals are held the week before Columbus Day weekend, weather permitting.
The Finals Celebration is free and open to the community. It is the league's largest event of the year and its main fundraising moment, benefiting the Stamford Italian Soccer League Annual Scholarship Fund for local student-athletes alongside the medical initiatives run by Integrità | The Papallo Family Fund.

The 30th Anniversary Finals Celebration
The league marked three decades of its signature tradition with a free community event at Westhill High School, powered by The Papallo Family Fund.
Food and drink
Free food and drink donated by Mario the Baker, Pausa Caffè and the Council of Italian American Organizations.
Entertainment
A live DJ, play-by-play commentary and a halftime show from Carozza Entertainment, plus trick-or-treats from Mike's Monsters.
Community partners
Adoptable dogs from Project Precious Rescue, and public recognition for the businesses that support the league all season.
